How can the UK Americana community help you?

Wednesday 13th September
3pm-4pm The Westin Conference Room: Gulch I
With the birth of the AMA-UK, the Americana community in the UK has been growing rapidly in the past few years. We’ve had two annual conference and awards events, with international categories for song, album and artist of the year. The Official UK Americana Chart launched in 2016 and has had a real impact on the profile of Americana music in the UK. This panel will ask how the AMA-UK and the UK’s Americana community can help US artists when touring and releasing in the UK: notably, 25% of the performers at our 2017 showcase festival were from the USA. We have brought together an expert panel to discuss all this: covering promotions, festivals, press, PR, tax and the artist’s perspective.

Moderator: Stevie Freeman – CEO, Americana Music Association UK
Doug Hall – D Digital PR
Ian Thomas – Partner, MGR Weston Kay
Anton Lockwood – Director, DHP Live Division
Charlie Pierce – Majestic Music Management (Angaleena Presley)
Lauren Down – Deputy Editor, The Line Of Best Fit / MD, End Of The Road Festival
