Dear Members

We know that the implications of the coronavirus are being felt by many across our industry, be they artists, managers, venue owners, promoters, music businesses or fans. We hope you can stay safe and well and would encourage you to review the guidance published by our friends over at UK Music who are continuously in contact with the Government to seek clarity on support for our music community and economy.

You can find the UK Music advice here, along with statements from a number of other music industry bodies including the Musicians’ Union and PPL. These statements provide up-to-date information on how you can continue to engage with these organisations during these uncertain times. The Music Venue Trust has also published some helpful guidance for venues which you can read here.

As you will be aware, many forthcoming music events have been postponed or cancelled. If you were due to showcase at any of the Americana-supported festivals over the coming weeks, we will be in touch with you to provide further information on next steps. We will do our best to communicate the latest situation on future events through our weekly newsletter and social media channels.

If you choose to organise any online gigs in the weeks ahead, you can let us know about these by filling out the form in the weekly new letter and tagging us on social media. We would be happy to help spread the word and support you during these challenging times.

We are ensuring we send you all up to date information in our weekly members news letter so keep an eye out in your inbox for this each Wednesday afternoon.  Non members will receive a mailing once a month.

Stay safe, stay strong and stay in touch.
