Members Seminar: Digital Marketing and Social Media Tips for Artists
Speaker is Karma Bertelsen, is an award winning marketing consultant who has delivered marketing campaigns for some of the most exciting new talent and biggest artists in the world, from Ed Sheeran, Craig David and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Phoebe Bridgers, The 1975 and Kae Tempest. She has also worked on a number of other projects from comedians, to sports personalities, authors and more with household names including Amy Schumer, Jon Ronson, Sir Bradley Wiggins and more. With almost ten years experience in music marketing, Karma first joined the industry working for International business management company Thomas St John where she worked with artists from Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris to Kelis. Karma went on to join publisher NewBay Media to work on leading industry magazines and their events Music Week, Audio Media International and MI Pro. Following this, Karma joined the Marketing, PR and Events team at PPL. And in May 2016 she joined Kilimanjaro Live, where she headed up the marketing team working on some of the UK’s biggest tours and live music events.
Karma is an advocate for diversity in music. In 2017 she was inducted into the Music Week Women in Music Awards Roll of Honour and SheSaidSo’s Alternative Power List. She also volunteers her time with Safe Gigs for Women.
